Hand Bell Choir

WHAT WE ARE ABOUT
The
Mary Bells are a hand bell choir that offers music at St. Boniface. We
began practicing over eight years ago and first played at St. Boniface
on Trinity Sunday 1998. We are currently a group of ringers playing
English hand bells and chimes.
Although
many of us were not musicians to begin with, we have come to love
participating and sharing ourselves in this joyful ministry and
fellowship.
OUR
PLANS AND FUTURE
We would like to expand
our ministry with more members and a fifth octave. We would also like
to be able to accept more opportunities to bring others closer to Our
Lord through the music of hand bells.
OUR
SCHEDULE
Services:
once a month and on special occasions (Christmas Eve, weddings,
funerals, community events).

WHAT TO EXPECT
We welcome new
members! We do
not expect musical
experience, as many of us have learned from “scratch.” We practice
weekly and HAVE FUN doing it. We play for Sunday services once a month
(except July and August) and on special occasions. We offer a biannual
concert and attend a three-day “bell festival” in June in alternating
years. During this festival we attend classes, practice, and perform
with hundreds of other bell players from churches all over Texas and
Oklahoma.
MINISTRY
OPPORTUNITIES
Worship
services, weddings, funerals, community events… Making
music with the Mary Bells heals our souls, too!
HOW TO GET INVOLVED

good way to start is to come to rehearsals or talk with any member of
the bell choir. For information,
