Excerpts from Introduction:
The purpose of this
book is twofold. First, we want to express our deep respect and
appreciation for the men and women who under severe adversities planted
the Episcopal Church in America and, eventually, St. Boniface Episcopal
Church in Comfort, Texas. Their bravery, dedication, and integrity
reflect a deep, enduring faith and grace.
We also want to
document for future generations, the inheritance we have received
through our parent saints. Future saints and we are called to
build on this inheritance and to realize that continued stability and
successful proclamation of the Good News in Jesus Christ will be the
direct result of prayers, faith, and God's grace. Hence, the title
of this history is WHEN SAINTS
GO MARCHING.

Part one of this
history describes events that led to the establishment of the Episcopal
Church in Texas, the founding of St. Boniface in Comfort, and the saints
of its first fifty years.
Part two of this
history describes the second fifty years at St. Boniface and offers a
number of perspectives from current saints.
